In Braintree, there is a gym where discipline comes before ego and community comes before everything. Elite Fight Academy is more than just a place to train — it is a space where people come to build confidence, structure and a sense of purpose.

For many members, the gym has become part of their daily routine. It offers a positive environment, somewhere to focus, improve and keep moving forward both physically and mentally.

Jade Tredget, who initially joined to lose weight, found much more than just fitness. “I joined because I wanted to lose weight, but in a fun way. I used to train before, so I wanted to get back into it. I saw a fight class and thought, ‘I want to do that.’”

Since joining, they have achieved their initial goals and are now aiming even higher. “I’ve lost a lot of weight, so my goal has been met. Now I want to get back into tournaments. Taylor teaches perfectly — he takes his time with you and understands you individually.”

That personal approach is central to the gym’s philosophy. At Elite Fight Academy, training goes beyond fighting it is about building self-belief, discipline and stronger individuals within the local community.

Coach and co-owner Taylor has been involved in combat sports from a young age and now uses that experience to guide others.

“I’ve always loved kickboxing and boxing. I fought for years, and now I want to pass that on by teaching others.”

But the gym is not just about learning techniques it is about accountability.

“A lot of the younger generation will find motivation here, but they’ll also be held accountable. You can’t come in, mess around and expect results. You have to train hard, and if you don’t, there are consequences.”

Despite the discipline, the gym maintains a strong sense of inclusivity.

“It’s a good community gym where everyone feels welcome, but I also want to develop some real talent in the K1 scene.”

With its combination of structure, support and ambition, Elite Fight Academy is doing more than producing fighters it is helping to shape lives. Changing lives, one session at a time.
